Driving directions from Vancouver

From Vancouver.  Approx 1.5 Hours.
  • Take Highway 1 West out of Vancouver through North or West Vancouver.
  • Continue on the Sea to Sky Highway (Hwy 99) through Squamish.  Directly across from the turnoff to Alice Lake you will see a left hand turn Squamish Valley Rd.  Take this road.
  • About 2 km down this road you will come to a fork – take the left side (stay on Squamish Valley Road).
  • Along this road you will go over a single lane bridge (10 mins).  Use caution when approaching this bridge – stop for oncoming traffic.  Not far past this bridge you will reach Squamish Valley Campground on your left.  16.5 Mile  Squamish Valley Rd.

If coming from Washington, you may wish to take the truck crossing, then follow 176th Street all the way to Hwy 1 West.  This is the easiest route.

Notes:
  • Gate closes at 10 pm Friday, 8 pm Saturday.
  • Please obey the posted speed limits – some sections of Squamish Valley Road are residential and you may encounter children, horses, pets and livestock in the road.  This is a rural area, slow down and move over to pass them.
  • When you enter the campground, there are sheep, ducks, chickens, children, and Burners running around loose.  Drive very carefully.
