    How about a Temple?

    Have you often thought that it would be a great idea to have a temple at Burn in the Forest? Have an idea to create something spiritual for your fellow participants?

    Please submit your temple proposal by midnight on March 15, 2018. The temple budget is $2000. Fill out this form:

    Apply To Build Temple

    Successful applicants will have 5 minutes to present your projects at the BitF Town Hall in March. Effigy and temple selection will be made by the participants at the Town Hall.

  • Accepted file types: pdf, doc, docx.

  • Briefly describe the artistic concept of your effigy proposal.
  • Describe your key team members, their roles, and their background.
  • Describe the construction methods you will use - materials, structural integrity, etc. Provide a build schedule.
  • Describe any sound and lighting you propose for your effigy: size of the sound system, and power requirements for the S&L setup are key.
  • Describe the burn aspects of your structure - how you intend for it to burn, accelerants you are using, etc. In the event we are unable to fire-burn the effigy, describe how you will dismantle the effigy safely.
  • Describe your plan to ensure that your structure is safe - that it won't fall over or be climbed.
  • How are you going to get all the little bits of metal you use in the construction, or other debris, off the beach after the burn?
  • Detail your construction budget.
  • Upload a picture of the concept here (optional...but waaaay better than _not_ having a visual 🙂
  • Anything else you want us to know about your proposal.
